The fourth meeting of the Regional Initiative Group under the Project Strengthening Climate Adaptation Capacities in South Caucasus (SCAC) took place on the 29th of June, 2024.

The objective of the meeting was to provide updates on recent developments, review and summarize the work and accomplishments achieved within the scope of the RIG, and collaboratively discuss the next steps to be taken. Additionally, RIG members were given the opportunity to present and share their initiatives.
The Regional Initiative Group was formed based on national alliances in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia (National Initiative Groups — NIGs), comprised of scientific, civil, and private organizations interested and working in Disaster Risk Management (DRM), Sustainable Mountain Development (SMD), and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA).

The RIG goal is to promote scientifically justified policy and decision-making in CCA, DRM, and SMD throughout the Caucasus with the active involvement of academic, civil, and private organisations
