On November 13-16 the 8th Azerbaijani International Exhibition in the environmental field “Caspian Ecology 2017” was held in Baku Expo Centre. The event attracted 53 companies and government institutions from seven countries of the Caspian and Caucasus regions and has underlined the significance of the solution of problems of environmental culture at the present stage of development of society.

The relevance of the exhibition is that it has once again emphasized value of environmental management and education. During the VIP-tour the Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Azerbaijan Firdovsi Aliyev and the director of the company of Caspian Event Organisers Edward Stroon have noted versatility of the exhibition with respect to solution of environmental problems.

The Caucasus Network for Sustainable Development of Mountain Regions (Sustainable Caucasus) was presented at the ASPA stand. The expanded presentation covered organisation’s history, the objectives, tasks and structure of the network, its last achieved results and the realized actions. Also guests of the event could get acquainted with future plans of the network at the regional level.

During an exhibition the stand was visited by dozens of representatives of the state ministries and departments, scientific, commercial and educational structures, representatives of the international organizations and diplomatic representations in Azerbaijan, representatives of NGO, students and the interested public. The board member of the organization Azer Garayev has noted keen interest of visitors in work and the closest plans of network, the achieved results and the lessons learned.
