The Caucasus Network for Sustainable Development of Mountain Regions joins the UN initiative to observe the International Mountain Day under the title “Restoring Mountain Ecosystems” with series of events across the region.
On 8 Decemebr the first event took place in Baku, in close cooperation with the Western Caspian University. It hosted a photo exhibition coupled with awarding ceremony of school children and University students, who feel enthusiastic about protection and conservation of mountain habitats.
The event featured presentations and speeches delivered by the field experts and practionioners, as well as gave floor to folk show and food display from mountains
