Happy International Mountain Day!

Annually, the International Mountain Day (IMD) is celebrated worldwide to raise awareness on the mountain ecosystems and communities. This year the overarching theme of the International Mountain Day is Restoring Mountain Ecosystems, as healthy ecosystems help safeguarding biodiversity and mitigate the risk related to climate change.

We believe that youth education and engagement play a key role in environmental protection and social and economic development, therefor our initiative is focused on youth development activities. We believe this will support awareness raising on mountain ecosystems, sustainable production and consumption patterns and strengthen both formal and informal education on climate change and viable lifestyles.
